Bobbi Anders, Ward 1 DDTC sent an appetizer, Hot Crab Spread
1- 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 Tbsp milk
7-1/2 oz. can crab
2 Tbsp minced onion
1/2 tsp horseradish
1/4 tsp salt
Dash pepper
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Thoroughly combine cream cheese and milk. Drain and flake crab. Add to cheese with minced onion, horseradish, salt and pepper. Turn into greased 8-inch pie plate. Top with toasted almonds. Bake in 350º F. oven for 15 minutes.
Keep warm and serve on Triscuits or cracker or your choice.

Ellen Cooke, Ward 3 DDTC says that this 6 ingredient recipe is absolutely delicious. She found it in Family Circle Magazine years ago.
Family Cheesecake
4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c cornstarch
1 c (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
2 c heavy cream
6 eggs

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 10" spring form pan with non-stick cooking spray. Wrap outside of pan with foil.
2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, then cornstarch, butter, cream and eggs, beating well after each addition.
3. Pour into prepared pan. Place in a pan filled with 1" of water.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until golden brown. Transfer to a wire reck to cool.
5. Once cheesecake has coolked, about 3 hours, remove side of pan, cover and put in refridgerator.

Billy Taylor, a DDTC represetative from Ward 3, said he got this recipe from one of the young dems.
Blueberry Dump Cake
1 large can blueberry pie filing
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter (melted)
½ cup chopped pecans (if desired)
½ cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In 9 x 13 pan pour blueberry pie filling on bottom. Cover with dry cake mix. Pour melted butter over top. Do not stir.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle brown sugar and pecans (if desired).
Return to oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Rose Schlemmer, DDTC representative for Ward 4 submitted Chocolate Bliss Cheesecake
18 Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, finely crushed (about 1 1/2 cups)
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
3 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (8 squares) Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted, cooled slightly
3 eggs

Preheat oven to 325 degrees (for 9 inch springform pan). Mix cookie crumbs and butter; press firmly onto bottom of pan. Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add chocolate; mix well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Pour over crust. Bake 55 minutes to 1 hour or until creamy center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Store in refrigerator.

Cider Vinegar Chicken with Rice and vinegar / oil salad ala Bruce Lees, candidate for Constable and DDTC representative for Ward 7
Bruce adds that he got the recipe from the internet and says, "I serve with Rice and a Salad."
INGREDIENTS for Two
2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1-3/4 teaspoons garlic salt
1/3 cup cider vinegar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
. Place chicken breasts in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with garlic salt, then pour vinegar over all.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 minutes or until chicken is browned and cooked through, and juices run clear.
